In front of our house is a large, island-shaped garden. When we first moved in, the garden was completely over-run and full of weeds. With the help of family nearby, we cleared out the weeds and now have a large, open area that I envision being a beautiful, colorful welcome to our home. Until that day, we have found that it is the perfect spot to drive tractors, dig holes, and have some good, old-fashioned fun in the dirt!
Beside the garden is a long, somewhat steep sidewalk. It has become a perfect raceway for Garrett and his bike...
...Reece thinks it's pretty fun too! (This is my first official "Look mama! No Hands!" moment!)
Okay. As you can see below I did make an attempt at putting some life into my garden. Unfortunately, the mums that I planted were a bit weak, and not very tolerant of their location.
I welcome any suggestions or ideas for my future garden. The stump is actually a slab of tree and can be removed. The bush is WAY too big for the space, so it will be moved as well. (I believe it is a Clematis bush - but I'm not certain. It has berry-like growth that appear like they want to bloom, but haven't really. Just a few tiny, white flowers here & there.)
